Carbopol® Polymers
CARBOPOL® 676 Polymer
Carbopol 676 polymer is a highly crosslinked polyacrylic acid polymer that is synthesized in benzene. It has short flow characteristics and relatively high viscosity compared to other Carbopol polymers.
Product Benefits
- Imparts instant thickening upon neutralization to form high clarity gels.
- Provides shear thinning rheology to enable easy pumping and dispensing of finished products via trigger sprayers.
- Provides yield value to allow for the suspension of a wide variety of insoluble materials or particles. Yield value enables finished products to have vertical cling which is an important characteristic for products that are dispensed via a trigger spray or nozzle.
- Stabilizes oil-in-water emulsions for applications that contain silicone oil, mineral spirits or d-limonene.
- Offers compatibility and stability in chlorine bleach, hydrogen peroxide or high alkaline systems.
- Suggested Applications
- Automatic dishwashing liquids
- Gelled fuels
- Hard surface cleaners
- Liquid laundry detergent
- Mastic adhesives
